Loving your post-holiday skin?

Preparing our skin before we go on holiday has become a ritual for both men and women, soft, smooth skin that will tan easily is our goal.

But what about when we get back home. We crave to keep hold of the fresh, smooth golden skin for as long as possible and make sure that the post-holiday glow sticks around for more than a couple of weeks.

So what do we do to help pro-long this?

Simple have a good body moisturiser like our sandalwood body butter which is the perfect body moisturiser. The creamy formula is crammed full of almond oil, shea butter and cocoa butter that’s great for locking in moisture, helps preventing peeling and that tight dry skin feeling, as well as protecting and soothing the skin.

Looking after your skin when you’re back from holiday requires as much tender loving care as when you’re on holiday.

Moisturiser – With sun cream / after sun or body moisturiser.  We moisturiser our skin on holiday at least twice a day if not more.

Soak – Soaking our skin in water in the sea or in the pool softens the dead skin cells so its easier to scrub away

Scrub – On the beach the sand will naturally exfoliate your skin getting rid of all those dead skin cells and that’s why after a couple of weeks on a beach holiday your skin looks so healthy.

Its easy to keep the regime when you get home too and you don’t have to do it every day we recommend exfoliating your skin once a week with our Exfoliating body scrub the kaolin will draw out the impurities and the walnut shell powder will scrub away those dead skin cells, leaving your skin feeling smooth and healthy.

Prolonging the tan is something that we certainly strive for after our couple of weeks in the sun. But even if you’ve only managed to catch a few rays in the back garden these tips can help you keep that healthy look a little while longer.

“Moisturise everyday as much as you can, hydrated dark cells shed a lot slower than dehydrated skin, so the trick is to put as much moisture on your skin whilst you have that lovely golden glow that you want to keep.”

The final tip that we can offer – self tan at home.  As your holiday tan starts to fade start using your favourite gradual tan such as our tinted face moisturiser. No one will ever know the difference.
